Opening strategies?

Is there already a topic somewhere discussing strong first and second moves on the various different maps?

You could refer to the stickied ST replay thread to watch the opening moves of ST players.

I guess that'll have to do. I wonder if there are a select few that hold up better than the rest. Maybe I'll report back if I find anything interesting. I was looking more for like a commentary on the various strategies rather than just watching a whole bunch of replays and trying to analyze them myself. I'm not so good at that, but I guess it's somewhere to start, at least.

I think the key, especially as p2, is to get as much information on your opponent's strategy as efficiently as possible. After thats done, your moves should be based off of what you find. Also, p2 in particular needs to take into account first turn vulnerabilities, such as to snipers or medics.
