after the replay it shows that we didnt get any points.
me and segamatic once started a league game as pairs but in this game we were paired randomly.
it didnt give us any points for the win. could it be that the system saw this as our ranking match as a pair?

Isn't it time for ST vs ST 2v2 as game of the week.
Short 20 turn battle with 3 bases getting hit.
Defensive win on Machination against overwhelming FTA.
And our gameplay was defend with specials - we thought scramble would make the day. It did not go as planned, though.

Good sample of FTA and turn 2 specials - that's plural: mobi and bombshell.
And they we expected, but they are just too far to be reached ...

I really like Machination, because of mobi sniper from spawn (possibility).
Player 4 did not have his/her second turn. It was over before that!

It is time to address FTA on 2v2. I play only 2v2, I do win with 3-1 ratio.
Only because most of the players are not skillful - FTA is not an overwhelming issue.

Example match:
Red runner was a mistake, sure. And my partners aggressive soldier opening was key move to fast win. But it is the huge FTA that rewards doing these aggressive openings.

I've done mobi sniper plenty. But at 5:30 a.m. waiting taxi to pick you up to airport is most def not the right time. This just adds proof to my claim that 2v2 players are not very good ;-)
Me included.
And airplane had wifi, so does airport, and being in country flight I would have had 3G all day, too.
No excuse to do turns while not awake.

But yeah FTA needs to be fixed in 2v2. It's devastating on the smaller maps.

We typically only start a couple games at a time so were almost always playing second.

The aforementioned 9th turn win was all FTA on that map where you can't stop player one from hitting the base for two on his second turn
