Nope. But depending on what you mean by letter (one that you put in an envelope, or as in ABC.. Etc) you may or may not be close.

RE: Riddles!
Here's another:

You have three (3) buckets of marbles. One has one hundred (100) yellow marbles, one one hundred (100) red marbles, and the last has a split mix of fifty (50) yellow and fifty (50) red marbles. The buckets are labelled yellow, red, and mixed, but each label is incorrect (ie, it does not match what is actually in the bucket it's on). How many marbles need to be removed (and from which buckets) in order to correctly label all three buckets?

RE: Riddles!
Ooooh i know i know! Lemme think because this is just like the sock riddle and im trying to remember it
Remove one marble from any 2 buckets
Nonononono i read it wrong
Wait is this a trick question and i could just look in the bucket?

Take one from each. You should get 3 marbles and two of them are the same

From the buckets that you got the 2 identical marbles from take one out until you get 2 different colored marbles

One bucket should always have the same colored marbles and the other will eventually have 2 different colored marbles taken from it

RE: Riddles!
Take one marble from the bucket labelled 50-50. Because it can't be 50-50, it has to be either all yellow or all red. Let's say it's all red. The bucket labelled as all yellow must contain the split, because it can't contain all yellow (because the label is incorrect), or all red (because that's already taken). Now the bucket labelled as all red must contain all yellow.

Nice! That's exactly it. Only one marble is necessary Smile.

There are four monks with a lantern at a rope bridge after dark. They are being chased by a wolf who will arrive in 18 minutes and eat them all. The bridge isn't sturdy and can only support 2 monks at once. Two of the monks are young and can cross the bridge in 1 minute and 2 minutes respectively. The other two monks are old and can cross the bridge in 5 minutes and 10 minutes respectively. Since it's dark and the bridge isn't sturdy, the lantern is required to pass over the bridge. Can all of the monks cross the bridge and untie the end before the wolf arrives, or are some of them doomed?

Explain your answer Smile

RE: Riddles!
They can all make it in exactly 17 minutes:

First, the two young monks go to the other side: 2 minutes.
The faster one comes back: 3 minutes.
After that, the two old monks go: 13 minutes.
The young monk on the other side comes back: 15 minutes.
At last, the young ones still back there go to the other side: 17 minutes.

RE: Riddles!
i remember there being a short flash game with similar mechanics but rather than monks it was a family who needed to get to the other side before they get left behind by a rescue boat
found it! turns out it wasnt a rescue but rather the lamp can only last for a limited time.

The family needs to cross the bridge. It is night and dark. They got a lamp. Maximum of two persons can cross the bridge at a time and they must have the lamp with them. Each person walks in different speed. A pair must walk together at the rate of the slower person. The lamp is enough for 30 seconds only. How are we going to help them?

there are 5 of them with speeds 1sec, 3secs, 6secs, 8secs and 12 secs

pretty easy to solve if youve solved the one above

Oh no math! The ones im used to are the ones where you have to think of one with the least number of trips. I have a complicated one but i'll wait for others to answer yours
