I still don't quite get what we are supposed to do.
Does each team collectively pick one map or do we each pick a map?

I believe teams are supposed to collectively pick, then the other team picks, and so on until all maps are selected, per round. But without a team captain it's pretty much chaos, for example:

Could be taken as that teams first selection, and then someone from the other team could post after saying the map they want, and so on.

I kind of like the chaos idea personally, but that seems against the spirit of things. In any case, we need to a system asap so we can get games started.

Well, the idea was that the competitors discuss through PMing, but it would be nice to have team captains. Per default that would be the highest ranked of a team (in this case, Da Wizerd, Riptor, jacs9 and necrocat219), but... just discuss about it, that would be nice.

I'll give everyone a week to discuss (up to the 4th of January), then we can kick off the matches!

Sorry to be late to the party. haven't been on the forums much recently.

My understanding is that each team of 6 chooses a map to play out its games vs each other team. For example, as I'm on the scallywags team, we'd choose 1 map we want to play adorables on, 1 map we want to play veggies on, and 1 map we want to play feedback on. And each team will do the same. So conceivably we'd each have 2 games to play against each other team (1 where we claim the map, and 1 where the opponents claim the map)...am i understanding this correctly? Is this tournament still happening? Been a few days since anyone's posted...

No, not really

The thing is, in each round, every team member is matched agains one opponent. For each of those matches, a different map will be claimed.

So, in the first round, Adorables match Scallywags. Adorables is listed first, so we get first claim. Thus i say:

NDRDOG vs Coolio - da best
PEEKABOO

Now, NDRDOG and Coolio will play two games on Peekaboo, dividing FTA equally. Now it's Scallywags' turn to claim a map on one of the other matches.
