Season 2 leagues: Seems we're now getting the point(s)

First game after new season, I win --> promoted to super titans said I got 16, I only had 5.
Second game I lose --> Demoted to masters said I lost 17

This seems a bit weird, shouldn't I have more then just one chance before I'm demoted to masters?

You must've been on the brink. I'm fearing for my life right now because I'm failing very very badly. I'm won my first match but now I'm on a 6 losing spree. Although, only people who play me back are the ones who are winning. So, I expect a decent win streak to come soon.

So my first 3 games, won 19, 14, and 11 points (my opponent lost the same in each case), in league standings, points went 6 to 6 to 5.

My league emblem on the bottom row was not showing properly, but just checked and its fine now.

Would provide screenshots if I could get it to work........

Ya right before the season ended I went on a 6 game winning streak, largest I've had in since breaking top 200. Now though seems on bout to go on losing streak.

I still think I deserved more then one game before being demoted from super titans though.

Since the patch I've gone:

+19
-19
+17
+18
+14
+14

I should have 63 points but instead I have 7. Here is what I got.

+19=+6 or +7, can't remember
-19=not sure but I went to 0
+17=+3
+18=+4
+14=+0
+14=+0

Which puts me at 7 points with 5 wins and 1 loss. I don't really see a pattern here o.O

I think the confusion here arises from assuming the displayed points post-game should be the same as before. This no longer holds unless they plan to fix it. In the rankings, the current max points is 8. So if you are with 8 points at the fluffy to masters league, I have reason to believe you are at the brink of being promoted.

But it's not really max points for everyone. I'm at 7 points and have gotten 0 points for my last two wins so my max at the moment seems to be 7.

At the moment, all we can do is to speculate how the system works. I believe there is very little point inflation which is good as it is much more reflective of the hidden skill ratings. Still, it leaves many players baffled.
