I'm also in favor of having 1v1 and 2v2 in the same tournament but i dont think its possible. Correct me if I'm wrong, but most clans only have 2 2v2 teams. I think I have an idea for 2v2. Hopefully I can explain:

So 2v2 is done at the same time as 1v1 but its done separately at a smaller scale.
1) each clan has 2 2v2 teams participate in the sector.
2) it's just like the “one man left" idea but instead of 5 wins for a “kill", you only need 2.

So one clan may win in 1v1 and the others may win in 2v2. I think this is basically the idea already but I really think 5 2v2 teams is ridiculous at this point.

What do you think about this idea, I sorta like it.

That'd be cool, except when does the game get played? And when does the player come back to life? Perhaps instead of bringing a player back, the 2v2 winner could seat a 6th player. That way the 2v2 game can start with the first 1v1 game, and only needs to finish before one of the teams hits their 5th seat, and one more person could get involved in the 1v1 matches.

I'm sorry. NO seperate 2v2s. It feels slightly broken now. Why? Because even though the +wit/kill is applied (to which i'm not perticulary against), there's NO FTA fix on it!

Sorry for completely derailing the thread, just wanna share ma opinion.

Since when are you not a 2v2 player? Wink

Our clan doesn't have a fixed 2v2 pairing as well so far but still i think it would be a nice addition. I just wonder how 2v2 can be combined with the one kills all mechanic.

The game could be played when the 1v1s are. It doesn't matter if you win the 2v2 and your clan wins, that would be ideal, but just in case all your members die, the 2v2 win can be like insurance. And gfich, I don't feel like there is FTA in 2v2

Idea: say team 1 defeats team 2 with 2 players on team 1 surviving. Those 2 surviving players would be in the 2v2 match against any 2 players that team 2 chooses from their squad.

If team 1 only has 1 surviving player, then that player will be in the 2v2 match against 2 players from team 2 that team 2 chooses. The player to be teammates with the player from team 1 (the survivor) is chosen by team 2.

If team 1 has 3 or more survivors, team 1 gets to choose the two players they want in the 2v2 match against the 2 players team 2 chooses for their 2v2 team.

This may give a little advantage to the team that loses the 1v1 matchups and keep the whole tournament more equal.
