Top 200 Rank Trends

Inspired by CombatEX and Gfich's recent project to provide a ranking of players who consistently appear in the top 16 overall players, I decided to look into rank trends in the top 200 players from week to week. Currently, it's rather difficult to figure out which players are rising in the ranks and which players are falling.

Going forward, I will capture the weekly top 200 player data and provide these trends in an easy to read format. Follow the below link to see first iteration of this project:

Outwitters Top 200 Ranking Trends

Here is the key for column "Rank Shift":

Green = rise in rank
Red = fall in rank
Blue = no change in rank
Colorless/#N/A = player not included in any ranking list on record

The number in the "Rank Shift" column denotes the number of ranks gained or lost. This week, notable rank shifts go to blkace (+17, 41st to 24th), whitedr4gon (+19, 42nd to 23rd), and YzEasy (+43, 78th to 35th). You can also find the raw rank values of the past weeks (for now, just the past 2 weeks) in separate tabs.

In the future, I plan to post a link to this spreadsheet in every new "Weekly top 200" thread. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!

I think I will add additional columns as I get more data, to show longer-term trends. Example: Rank shift since 11.16; Rank shift since 11.9; Rank shift since 11.2. Might also add more historical data to provide these trends. Will see what makes sense.

I added ranking data going back to 10.4.2012 and provided rank trends since that date. This reveals some things that weren't apparent before, for example the meteoric Outwitters careers of Joelduque and Ren8585 over the past month!

Alert to ya'll at the top, you may want to watch out for "YzEasy". This guy climbed 116 ranks since 10.4! Also impressive is kowki101, rising 111 ranks since 10.4.

Ok, I really should get back to work, the kind that I get paid to do.

Wow this is awesome! most notably whilst there haven't been many, there are still players who picked up the game later making it up into various places on the list all the time, most notable joelduque
