I just found the whole premise to be stupid to be quite frank.

Come on, how can having an intergalactic Pacifist hero who travels around in a time machine shaped like a phone booth, has two hearts and can be turned into different people and completely change personalities and friends(ditching the old ones constantly) be stupid!

Dr. Who is more about the story, if you can not worry about some of the whacky details. It's kind of like the Twilight Zone, but with a permanent cast.
