He's saying that a game shouldn't say 1 day ago or more cuz that'd mean that opponent didn't play for a whole day and that a player shouldn't have to take more than 12 hours to make a move cuz they could play before they sleep and after they wake up

yeah i know. but you get used to the pace the longer you play. i remember when i was in gifted. i would constantly refresh my game list waiting for someone to send in their turn.

That's really lame. I'm glad no one's done that to me. Is their hope that you'll run out of game space and have to resign to play another game? That's not the way to get your ranking up.
