Game Rewards and League rewards?

When you win or lose a game in regular matchmaking or when you win/lost in a league game. Do you earn or lose anything?

In league games you earn/lose ladder points. In friendly games you earn/lose the right to brag (aka nothing).

._. not much replayability unless u play league games D: maybe u could add a leveling system, where each level u get a cool rank or something... Or make implement a reward system where u get items TOTALLY NOT RELATED TO UR MATCHES so no op high level players, and u can use them to pimp your accoutn out or something

There is a leveling system - not individual levels for each player, but league levels or a league hierarchy and those could be your rankings. I think that's sufficient in a leveling system.

I'd like to pose a deeper question here: Have we been spoiled by achievements and levels so much that we can no longer play a game for the fun of it? Do we need an additional incentive to continue playing?

Games are for fun, learning and why am i describing what a game is for. It is a game, not buy 10coffees get one free, or 10% discont if a vip member.
We play because most of us enjoy it. And when on a strictly multiplayer game the only acheivements could be win a match and reach a specific tier.
