Post: RE: Paths of Attack - an intro to Outwitters math

Cool, I'm glad to see people are finding this helpful. When I wrote the thing the reception was kind of blah, which was sort of disappointing. So to see people using it now makes me happy. I will be s...

Post: RE: Bombshell Turtling - Balancing Suggestion

Bombshells play great (as a defensive player I find them super fun), and bombshell vs. bombshell fights are easily the deepest, most fun thing about the game for me. So I would much rather buff the ot...

Post: RE: Little question about leagues

I assume it has to do with ranking. I'm ranked #25, and never play people ranked higher than 15, or lower than #80. If I play someone I haven't seen before, then chances are they will be in next week'...

The league names don't matter, but there is definitely sub-tiering within leagues. As a Super Titan, there are other Super-titans I can't be matched against.

Yeah that's a lot lower than I would have guessed. My predictions would have been something like 65% overall and 70% for Super Titans.

Okay, minor edits done to clarify that it's your *main force* that moves along the arrow, not just one intrepid soldier. Also referenced awpertunity's great post on why you harass the top on Long Nine...

yeah 1-sided is the correct choice. I just used 2-sided because the Ho/Ha is slightly easier to grok, and because the p-values are so small that they're essentially 0 anyway.
