Any idea on how to beat a turtler? - TheGreatAnt - 11-27-2012 02:17 PM

I am on turn 110 with this person.
Ok, I have learned my lesson, never all a person enough free time to turtle their base.

But now that I am here, how in the world am I suppose to overcome this wall? I am playing as the adorables, so I have no way to defend real well, and I am positive that any attack force will be detrimental to my defense and will leave a gaping hole for my opponent to walk into. Any suggestions?

The important thing we need to see, here, is whether you or your opponent is sitting on a material/Wit advantage. If your opponent vastly outnumbers you, then you've already lost. If, on the other hand, you have a small collection of Mobis, you can build a Bombshell Strike Force! It's possible to gradually break down a Bombshell wall, but if he's been banking Wits, then you're getting ready for one uphill battle.

I've added the screenshot, and I've marked where I know that units are. I do not know what is hiding past. that line.

@Emuchu;;
I like that, it may work too, though it will be slow, I might be able to wear him down.

Okay, I suggest you start saving Wits and positioning Soldiers. Make sure you have enough Wits before going after a Bombshell, and make absolutely sure all of your Mobis are safe after each attack! To kill a Bombshell, you're already sacrificing 2-4 units. If you lose the Mobi, too, you'll be giving your opponent a severe material advantage.

Another note, is that you have quite a few Mobis. You can conceivably kill a Bombshell, and recall the entire strike team back to safety! The important thing to keep in mind, though, is that the two confirmed Bombshells near his spawn are not worth going for. Try to kill the two guarding the Wit Space (but not at the same time), harassing your opponent and trying to force him to waste Wits moving his Bombshells to cover up the holes you're punching in his wall.

Best of luck.

EDIT: I just looked at the screenshot again, and I realized that he doesn't even seem to have a Soldier wall covering his Bombshells. This makes things a LOT more favorable to you: you can simply spawn a Sniper (so that you have a pair) and position your Runners to be in range of the two Wit-side Bombshells. Save up Wits, and you'll have to decide whether to go after the Bombshells one at a time (safer, you don't lose more than a Runner, probably, but he'll have time to try to protect the others), or two at a time (try and disrupt your opponent as much as possible, but you'll likely only save the Mobis if he's been banking Wits).

Why uh... why do you have four mobis? What are you going to do with four mobis?

to recall the entire strike team. haha

Mobis are sort of like aircraft carriers. You only want one aircraft carrier in an area of operations, you don't need more. And like real life, they need to have a sizable strike force as an escort.

I guess so. he needs 7 wits to kill a BS per each turn.

I just took a move and I was able to take out a BS and recall all my units back to prevent loss with 7.

@Garcia; the reason I have so mani Mobis is because when I started this game several weeks ago, I didn't understand the adorables pack because I just got them and I was playing like a noob. So basically, I did it to be cool. But since I have them, I can recall everything back and save units.

Game Update
I took out one of his bomb shells and recalled my units back using 7 wits. I discovered a bomb shell on the wit space, heavy below it, and a boosted medic beside it.
