For: High-Level beta testing the upcoming team.
Why: Obviously to avoid balance issues.
Your obligations: Actually, not so much. You are welcome to discuss stuff with other beta testers and bring up balancing or feature ideas. Obviously, you should play actively and leave some open space for beta games!

The real question is, will there be enough good players to accurately assess the balance for the new unit?
