just one newbie question - runzetang - 07-22-2014 06:04 PM

I was wondering if there is a time limit on each turn, since several of my opponents have dragged on for half a day when I was about to defeat them, and still delaying now. I'm a newbie in this forum, if I break any rule, please be kind to tell me why before deleting, thx!

4 days

Yep, 4 days. More precisely, 4 days and ~ 6 hours is when you'll get the forfeit win.

yeah, you'll have to wait way more than half a day.
luckily this doesn't happen as much as you get better and better. It's quite common in fluffy and clever but I'm in master and it hasn't happened to me in a long time.

Hey glad to see some new posters around here. Challenge me @LegacyofEight (I'm clever, the current lowest ranking forum member) but I'm moving up!!!!

Hey runzetang - yep it is one of those things that frustrated me a little at first. Players that have obviously lost but slow the game down at the end so that the last 2 or 3 moves can drag over a couple of weeks. Just the way it is.

As was said above, as you move up the ranks you will tend to find that players wont do this so much and will either forfeit or move quickly to let you take the win.
Also keep in mind it is a global game and 1/2 a day is normal when you may be playing some one in (say) Australia who may be asleep!

Also - if you haven't already I would suggest purchasing the Uber pack - apart from unlocking all the races it also lets you play 20 games concurrently rather than 5 so if you have a few that are dragging out you can just start new ones.

Wow, I was overwhelmed by your hospitality! Thank you all so much.
Oh and one more newbie question: How do they assign ranks? I haven't really finished the 5 ranking games yet, but it seems I can win all of them, so what rank will they put me in?

Probably Fluffy League or Clever League Don't sweat it though! I've been playing for 10 months and still haven't hit gifted. I've been stuck in Clever. How did you discover Outwitters?

If you win all either gifted or master, depending on your opponents i think
