Hey all you wonderful people! <- I'm starting all my threads like that now.
I had a few questions for y'all about alts.

1) Why are alts good? Why are they bad?
2) Should I get an alt?
3) What should I name my nonexistent alt?

Alts give you a restart in your gameplay. You get fresh stats and, if you are, say, clever in your main but you play like gifted, you can make an alt and do placement matches over.

I don't have an alt. I barely have time for one account. I would probably end up in gifted again anyway.

It's only to preserve rating when trying something new/ experiments and statistics.

I played with one earlier (Wh00psiedaisy) because I wanted to see how far I would reach with feedback and didn't want to start by facing off with the top5 which I would have been matched with on my regular account.
It was refreshing to play a lot of new people. Having both accounts active at the same time and switch between is a pain and not something I recommend. It is also a bit unnecessary to occupy two spots on the top list if that's the case

Only if your good enought to occupy a spot.
Also, some people make an alt to play 2v2 games with themself.

I tried it and really hated it. Switching back and forth between Game Center accounts drove me nuts!

You need 2 devices then so you can log into each one with a separate account! iPhone/iPad.
