Looks like some portions of Google's backend is down for a bit, causing turn submits and sign-ins to fail in Outwitters. Sit tight and hopefully things will be back up sooner rather than later.
EDIT:
just as I get around to posting this, looks like they are back up.

Well I just started 3 games. They all were against the same opponent, and I was always P2. The strange thing is that s(he) did not take a first turn on any of the matches (blank replay, wit spaces still gray). Does this have to do with the server issue? It's strange that someone would be completely inactive for 3 games on 3 different maps.
