I have never had these work and have no idea where to turn them on to see if they work now, can someone help please?

should be under the notifications settings under the settings app on your iphone/ipad. If that's already all turned on, let me know what your in-game name is so I can try to fix it from the server side.

I've played the game for over a year and never known that, I turned it on and ill see if it works, very noobish

Your not set to Do not disturb are you? That for some reason stops them from even coming. Not just stopping the sound.

Nah they're turned on, and airplane mode and do not disturb are both off.
