Yeah, some games are fast others are slow and all 2v2 are comparatively longer then 1v1.
I can't stop to realize that random 2v2 take FOREVER!
The question:
Is it like this in top 200 Random 2v2?

2v2 is a harder game to do because you have to take into account what your partner can do and etc etc. especially at lower levels most people play 2v2 then quit after a turn or two.

It's slower because 4 people are playing, therefore it's a longer wait between turns. That said, I enjoy playing 2v2 random the most. It tends to be less predictable, something 1v1 could use.

really annoyed because in placement i won 3 and 2 timed out by partner.
got placed in clever but my next partner after that timed out...

Once you work your way into gifted & masters, there're less timeouts.

Thats true generally. Strangely i experience more time timeouts recently even on master/ST level.

Also even on a basic level, if I make a soldier and take 3 turns to move it to the enemy base, that would be 12 turns in 2v2 instead of 6 turns in 1v1. It's inevitable that 2v2 takes longer...
And if you're trying to hurt the enemies wit, you have to attack 2 enemies wit instead of 1. And if I attack with a unit, it will be 'exposed' behind enemy lines for 2 enemy turns before my next turn, so your attacks have to be pretty solid in order to be successful. The list goes on...

I was a fluffy for longer then I'd like to admit because I was bumped from being clever. I just started in clever and ran into a few really poor partners in a row. I'm sure if I was more skilled it wouldn't matter however it is still clear poor partners do effect game play somewhat in 2v2r.
So I can sympathize, just keep at it.
Also, even if my opponent doesn't respond I attempt to chat with him about strategy and so forth.
