How does the matchmaking system work?
As of the time I'm writing this, I am in the Clever League, Ranked #27. I have a total of 6 league wins and 1 loss. It's matched me up against a played with 160 league wins, who is in Gifted League rank #21 for 1v1 and Master League Ranke 26 for 2v2.
Why is it putting me up against a player with so much more experience and such a higher ranking? Isn't this an odd matchmaking system? I was expecting to be matched closer to someone of my own ranking...

When you get close to being promoted to the next league, you start playing the bottom of the league above you, in this instance it's gifted. You should actually be pretty happy, if you can win about 5 games in a fairly consecutive order against those gifted players you should be promoted soon.

It actually is putting you up against players your level. Your level isn't defined directly by wins or "Clever League", but by hidden ranking. Hidden ranking has several factors, win/loss ratio, who you win against, how high the hidden ranking is of your opponent, etc.

I guess I was just shocked to be up against players with so much experience (a bit intimidating!) since I have only 8 full games under my belt.

Is it a bug that snipers can see 3 spaces away from themselves on the sweetie plains map? I thought the rule was that units can only see as far as they can move?
