Really hoping there is no wit return on kill, or bramble will not be playable anymore.

You do realize wit for kill is right now in effect...

I'm pretty sure he does realize that. The point is that 3 hp with wit for kill is too strong, but many of us suspect 2 hp with wit for kill is too weak. 1ucky was saying that hopefully it is 2 hp without wit for kill which is in-between the two.

Ahhhh... I was reading his post from the opposite point of view.

Not to toot my own horn, but I remember I suggested the genius idea of regenerating thorns. That was a very good idea, but of course I'm gracious enough to share the credit with others, as long as we can get this implemented.

e.g. 2 HP thorns
regenerate to 2HP at start of turn
No wit on kill
Can still attack

Beware the return of the 4HP soldier hordes Big Grin

I think I'd prefer Bramble v3. At least 4 HP soldiers cost 4 wits, so there's that.

...i think 1ucky is right on the spot with his assessment.

Especially the no wit on kill thing is probably the most important thing about this... Smile

This is the key question. 2hp thorns are fine IF there is an opportunity+wit cost to killing them. If there is no opportunity cost, then now they are extremely weak, and possibly not worth the investment, ever.

Honestly, I don't care if Bramble is back to underpowered. I've seen what happens to the game when Bramble is a powerhouse, and I hate it. But I think we can't say for sure whether the new Bramble will be underpowered until it's been playtested.

You remember how the bramble was in version 1? It was fairly underpowered, and that was without wit/kill. Now you are giving it wit/kill, meaning that an opponent can trivial kill thorns every turn with no opportunity cost.

Yeah but I think the fact that thorns can attack is a big buff to the bramble. But don't get me wrong, I agree with you that bramble is probably going to be underpowered. I just also think that's not such a bad thing.
