Not too vulnerable, as it will almost always sit far back on the map. Maybe too weak, but that's what I want to test.

Btw the Glitch game is particularly cool, don't miss it

vulnerable was the wrong word, well not wrong word but I didnt explain. I think being allowed to have only one chain makes you highly vulnerable to getting the chain cut closer to the base and getting way behind on wits. Id also say that this returns the bramble to a much more defensive unit.

I remain convinced that the fix lies on the end of the thorn spawn cost as i said above

You're the number 1 player. Just saying that there are games woin without much special use. Even if this is underpowered you'd probably just beat people on skill.

And with a blindfold.

Only top right corner visible to determine opponent's movement timings...

Alvendor and blckace, this looks like a very elegant alternative to just dropping thorns' HP to 2. With the added benefit that the veggie player probably needs to use other units rather than just spamming branches. Thanks for putting the idea to practice and generating the examples. I'll try to play a few matches like that and report the replays.

I wonder if you guys have also tried the alternative of allowing only the bramble (and not thorns) to have more than one child. While this would eventually allow for over spamming, having to start each branch from the bramble, might offer the time and wit-differential for the opponent to defend.

Finally, if the option of only one child for everybody holds, I would suggest allowing them to prickle the opponent's base, in a similar way that bombshell's splash damage can hit it. Thoughts?

The main reason i dont like this vhange is because it makes the purpose of the bramble to be an attacker, and not walling people off. I wouldnt mind if they took away the ability to attack, but also took away recieving a wit for killing a thorn ala the original version with 3 hp
