Forum chatbox - Mag!cGuy - 02-26-2013 02:03 AM Yesterday, when I saw ryzuma's post saying "anyone want to play right now", I thought it would be cool if this forum had a chatbox! It would avoid many thread where only one question is asked, or general discussion that could be discussed more comfortably in a shoutbox. This forum is made with myBB forum, like this one (the one of my team in the game Trackmania ![]() What do you think? RE: Forum chatbox - Harti - 02-26-2013 02:18 AM I like it. From my own experience though, I believe that the general forum activity will suffer drastically from such implementations. When I invented a new chat for my community site, people started asking as well as answering questions within the chat only (even deeply strategical questions). Plus, people busy chatting can't watch new threads on the forums... But we're still keeping the chat as we do like it very much so. Only downside is, well, the decreased activity. RE: Forum chatbox - freerodo - 02-26-2013 03:57 AM I think it would be really useful, but would it be forum-wide or thread specific? Hopefully the latter with the option of turning it off of course (I can imagine people submitting tourney results in chat). Deep / insightful / strategical discussion could always be copied into a thread post. I hope this is easy to implement!
