I don't really see any other way to protect red sniper and kill blue sniper, which I think is pretty key to holding that position.

I have no idea what the best move is; I'm actually just trying to find out what are some really good moves in this position. Interestingly, there are a lot of combinations; kill two soldiers, kill a soldier and a heavy, kill a heavy and a sniper, kill a soldier and hit the base to 2HP.....

Killing a soldier and a heavy isn't a terribly bad move, if you have your runner in between enemy heavy and soldier after you kill soldier.
Actually that might be a better move^^
If you had 8 wits, killing the heavy and soldier and spawning a runner would have been the best choice I think, it's a force win, even without the new runner, you can force blue to sacrifice sniper to save base.

Looks pretty good too, but what about spawning a soldier to move and kill the 4HP soldier (the one that killed blue's sniper), and then the other soldier moves to kill red's sniper. Blue might survive this?

It would be close. There are a couple of defenses that will hold the primary attack, but any mistake is an auto-win. If the defense looks like it will hold, I would probably end up forcing them to give up the other wit space and wit-starve them.

Blue might survive. Heavy moves and hits the lower 4HP soldier, spawn a new soldier and finish of the 1HP soldier. THen sniper moves in to kill red's sniper.

blue cant kill the red sniper as the runner would be in the way.

How would you have enough wits to spawn a runner and move it? If your runner that you attack with is in the way, it can easily be killed

in powees puzzle there is a runner beside the the sniper. it can easily be killed but remember the wits are limited and only 1 spawn near the area. i already know that it isnt the best move. it wasnt well thought through.

i played it out in my head. it sucks. xD

Ok, here is an easier one, also from the Winter World Cup.

Red has just killed some of Blue's soldiers and is poised to attack. One of the keys to defending the position is killing their mobi.

It is blue's turn, and he has 7 wits. Question is, how do you kill Red's mobi without letting yours be killed?

(Of course you can just view the replay for the answer, but where is the fun in that? Smile)

I got this, and Im a gifted player.

Spawn runner (1)
Move next to heavy but so it can hit the soldier (2)
Move heavy so it can hit 4 hp soldier (3)
Use both runner and heavy to kill 4 hp soldier (4)
Move mobi to where it is touching both runners and heavy (I'm sure everyone knows the spot I'm talking about (5)
Teleport sniper to the only place it can go and kill the mobi (6)
Kill mobi (6)
Then you have 1 wit to save or do what ever you want.

I hope everyone can understand my movement and stuff, its kind of confusing.
