If runners are blocking, he can't.
8 wits
Move soldier 7
Attack runner 7
Move soldier 6
Attack base 5
Spawn sniper 2
Move mobi 1
Teleport sniper 0 wits left
And if he blocks the base with runners, and moves the Mobi up to the bottom most hex and mobi the sniper next to the wit space and shoot the base, when the heavy kills the sniper, the heavy won't be blocking the base. Or poweewee could move the heavy in the way and spawn a runner to block but Alvendor could mobi a runner to kill the runner, move the sniper up and shoot the base again and win, right?

Oh, yes! I think that's it.

The runner part was mag!cguy's idea

RE: Puzzle time - Mag!cGuy - 04-28-2013 03:48 AM

Golden, you're wrong, powee could simply kill the mobi with the heavy and block the snipe with a runner Smile

RE: Puzzle time - poweewee - 04-28-2013 04:32 AM

In any case, in the actual game I actually had no wits saved (I did spawn a mobi during my last turn), so had Alvendor killed my heavy, I would have lost. Bit lucky I guess. Smile

Anyway, here is my contribution, which shouldn't be too hard, but looks really nice.

I have the blue scallies, and have 6 wits (and since he captured my upper wit space, I will also have 6 wits the next turn). It's not too difficult to win, but what set of moves allows me to win on my next turn?

No he can't, the mobi would be 3 spaces from the heavy

What? Oh, you mean you don't put the snipe on the wit space? But then how would you prevent powee from having 9 wits and then from winning? Trust me if powee really had 9 wits alvendor could only delay his loss Wink

(Edited to clarify my reasoning)
Spawn a runner(1) and use it(2) and your 3HP soldier(3) to block red's two attacking soldiers from moving. This keeps them from switching positions so the right red soldier can't hit the blue base. Move your sniper(4) and kill his medic so that it can't block your soldier's attack next turn. Push your top soldier into an attacking position(5) and hit his base with your top runner(6). Red cant stop you from attacking with both your spawn-blocking runners and the nearby soldier next turn. This is all supposing red doesn't have any sneaky units we can't see behind the heavy/medic.

What?
He has two soldiers at the base, he needs to take out at least one of them to be able to survive to his next turn. The only option for the next turn is to take out 4hp soldier with two soldiers, spawn runner, and put soldier's health at 2.

Then the move after, move everything up and attack base.

No, because his soldiers can't move, he can't swap them and kill the base in time.
