Kudos to thrutchy for those exciting matches! In that last match, I thought somewhere between moves 14 and 22 would have been a win for him; I was lucky to survive that one!
Regarding the game on sweetie plains, yes I though his best move would have been to kill the sniper with the heavy (and blocking the backdoor), then killing my heavy with the sniper and a runner.
I think I would have still had the advantage though, obviously because of the pesky little mobi.

My first inclination was the move you and Magic suggested. I should have counted wits to see that that you couldn't spawn a sniper, and hit my base with the 2 remaining runners. You needed 10 and you only had 9. But, I was still toast no matter what I did. I needed you to make a mistake and that wasn't going to happen.
I feel like I should be demoted after all of my mistakes in the 2nd war garden game. Here were a few problems: poor wit efficiency (medic movement), poor placement (shouldn't have blocked my sniper in about turn 20 i think), lost a scrambler that I should have saved, failure to keep up on units, retreating, not being more aware of a possible bombshell, and not being stupid when I saw it (but the game was over at that point).
Hopefully, I'll learn...

Thrutchy, you are really good indeed. you won a game against world number 1. I thought you would win the 2nd War Garden game when I saw your scrambler there. good game anyway!
