I agree. The issue will probably solve itself in one to two weeks. Still maybe a tweak might be good but it shouldn't be too drastic as I still believe that games shouldn't interfere too much with real life commitments Wink When important stuff is on the calendar you should have the opportunity to skip 3-4 days of playing IMO.

Additional game limit seems to be something that will be the easiest to implement for them, and restricting it to only paid users should make it so those people who really care about the game, can play it the most.

Keep up the great work Adam, saying a prayer for your poor overworked code fingers.

I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal out of this "life commitments" stuff. Surely if something comes up and you can't come back to the game then just don't. Would you not rather take the odd loss and have a smoothly running game? The rankings really don't matter that much and you can easily climb them again. Anyway it would give you something to do when your commitments are over!

If people are that worried about rankings then they could play a friendly when they have work the next day and only play ranked games when they know they have the weekend or something.

I think a lot of people are taking this way to serious. That "what if I go on vacation" guy is a perfect example.

The game is not that serious. If you end up losing a game because you've been on vacation, working, partying and ran out of time. Then your loss on your iPhone game really is trivial.

This is exactly what I was getting at.

And by the way above poster I have 2 more stagnant games from today and am now completely locked out (again).
I think 3 days is even quite long for a single turn to be honest but judging by this forum I don't feel there's support for shorter.

Yeah, i agree with some taking the game way too serious. Therefore, no one should be bothered if others take a couple of days to make their turn. Just start a new game, play something else or have some ice cream. No need to change game mechanics Wink This is all a matter of perspective...

I can't start a new game because all 20 slots are taken up by people that have ran away on vacation!

It's a fun game, I'd like to be able to pick it up and play it when I feel. I don't think that's taking anything too seriously. However, supporting a 7 day per turn system means you take the ranking seriously, so serious in fact that you rate it as more important than the ability of others to actually play the game.

Well I have 15-20 games running all the time and after 1-2 hours I always have 2-4 turn to do. This is a async multiplayer game. You cannot sit down and play this for hours straight (or just buddy up with someone who likes the same playing style). For me, this is not a flaw but a merit of this game. I strongly believe that after like 10 days after the relase date we will see a huge decrease of this issue as those will drop out who are not really interested in the game.
Besides, I am not against tweaking taking turns and make the game more playable for hardcore gamers who want to have active turns 24/7 Wink But I do think there are way better options to do so than to drastically decrease turn time for everyone.
