Well. It's kind of sad =,(
But anyway, I've reworked the system. Hopefully it will be better next time.
GOL Revamped
In the meantime, I hope this tournament can still finish. I don't know at the moment since other tournaments may come along, but this may be used for one of the two "Invite" slots to GOL 2013 which will have a prize pool. It will also have a more enforced time limit like the Winter World Cup to avoid problems like this (though I hope the prize pool will also be a good incentive to prioritize tournament matches).

I beat el*tabasco in our Thorn Gulley match. Replay I guess he's not familiar with mobi/sniper on that level...weird
We have another game ongoing on Long Nine, which is pretty turtley so might take some more time. We do not have a tie breaker match ongoing, and at this point I'm not going to start one...it's just too late at this point; if el*tabasco wins the Long Nine match, we'll work it out somehow (I would likely just drop out out of respect for his higher rank).

That was a fun game to watch. Good job! I think even if he's familiar with it, you did a good job making it hard for him to defend his base by the time you made your final blow.

I haven't seen them around recently, but if they don't say anything by the time GG and el*tabasco finish I think we can just give you a bye at this point.

el*tabasco defeated me in our second match. Rather epic on long nine:

I eventually got bored of turtling and decided to attack.
May or may not have been prudent. Then we were in a tense stand off where either of us could have overwhelmed top/bottom respectively...had to decide whether to defend of attack. I think I did what I had to at that point of the game, and el*tabasco was just better positioned to close out the game; he had tempo, momentum. GG!So that puts us at 1:1. I don't think we have time to play out a third game, which has not even begun. So, out of respect for el*tabasco's higher seed, I will resign from this tournament.

el*tabasco and I are actually playing a third game on SFI, just in case this thing continues. We're on like turn 15 or something. He wanted to go ahead and continue even though we're so extremely late. Either way, I don't really care if I continue this tournament, just playing for honor.
