Lmao I suck because I don't usually play single but I'll give it a shot!
I like the idea of the second player choosing the map that way player two gets the map they own at and player one gets the first turn advantage!

Haha, yeah seems to happen a lot in higher league levels if nobody is searching. I had 7 against "Soronin". 3 are still going...

Hm, I'm not too keen on a best of 3 - especially since games can take days...
Well I figure games 1 and 2 should happen simultaneously...
Maybe we should give map preferences now too? i.e., we will be choosing the map that we are P2 on. Then both games can be started together with FTA on the opponent's map choice. To be honest I'm curious what map people would choose too
If I'm going 2nd I think I would choose Sharkfood Island....

I guess you could play all 3 games at once, but that doesn't allow you to use what you found out about your opponent's playstyle in the earlier games to your advantage - so I'm not sure what's better.
Do you plan on having a time limit other than the 4 days/move?

Suggestion: First player choose the map and is not allowed to do anything on the first turn! I think this solves the FTA quite beautifully and is also easy to implement.

For some reason I'm predicting turtling matches lasting large amounts of turns and slowing the tournament down, maybe all games should be played on the same map? Which map would games finish fastest on? I'm going on vacation relatively soon, so I have to sit this one out

This isn't HA GG, the 3 wit first turn won't do much since the extra 2 would just carry over onto the next turn
I say first two games is fine (random map, switch off going first). If it goes to third game, the higher seed should be allowed to choose EITHER the map or to go first. If they choose to go first, opponent picks the map ?

What do you all think about this:
For each match, two games are played simultaneously, with each player starting 1 game apiece. If the record is 1/1 after this, then the lower seeded player will choose the map for the third game, and the higher seeded player will start the game.
I think this is the best of all worlds.
