If a short film(1000s of images) stimulates the same thoughts as -1984- did, i'd say they were equally worthwhile. In the same sense, by extension a single moment last night was worth 1000 words in what it expressed to me. Where’s Waldo? not sure, when was he last active on the forums?. RE: Personal Questions Interview - brayton - 09-24-2014 04:24 PM Yeah he was /pretty/ incredible. Apart from some Buddhist and Marcus Aurelius texts, i'm mostly interested in epistemology and metaphysics. What about you, TGE? RE: Personal Questions Interview - TheGreatErenan - 09-24-2014 04:47 PM Everything. Actually, I'm mostly interested in analytical philosophy. My favorite thing to study is the philosophical side of the abortion debate, but that's not usually very fun to talk about. I guess my second favorite thing is stuff dealing with the mind and personal identity (e.g. necessary and sufficient conditions for persistence of the self, what happens in a mind swap hypothetical, physicalism vs. mind-body dualism, etc.). After that, I like meta-ethics a lot. Epistemology is good, though it's sometimes a bit dry to read (or the little I've read of it; basically just the first few chapters of Huemer's Skepticism and the Veil of Perception). I will say, though, that I'm planning on beginning a trek through the jungles of virtue epistemology. RE: Personal Questions Interview - brayton - 09-26-2014 09:59 PM Yeah I know what you mean, I was first introduced to Philosophy through hypothetical AI consciousness, so Decartes dualism is familar. I agree with you on epistemology too, but having some sort of backgroujd thought makes science assignments easier RE: Personal Questions Interview - baustin42 - 09-27-2014 12:25 AM How old are you? 19 Are you male or female? male In what country or region do you live?
