Be more careful by all means! Might wanna think about using the strategy as well.
Some maps aren't built in such a way that you can hit the base from the edge of the map.

Yes I was a bit whingy when you finished me off with that overhead shot, but you see I had thought I had adequately covered my base and couldn't understand how you took me out.
I am now working on defended against it
