War garden, you just start with troops protecting your base, and if you defend enough, you can push up to the wit space where they began their attack and to their spawn. If they can't take back that spawn, you just wit starve them. Or, you can start with a minimal force and counter rush, although that usually doesn't work in ST level.

I guess I need to play there more too. I think I've only had 3 games on War Garden in the last 2 weeks. I could say the same of Foundry actually, but I've had plenty of practice on that map, and it's actually one of my best, statistically

I will have to look at your counter on that rush. I almost always end up having only 1hp left after the rush which makes me very vulnerable to a runner.

I think 1 is my favorite amount of HP for my base to have. It means my opponent spent all their wits and units trying to kill me, failed, and now I get to counterattack on a nearly empty map xD

It relies on soldier placement. You can't simply put a line of soldier in front of your base, that's what the rusher is expecting.

not when youre up against an ST and on a map like war garden. well for me it isnt my favorite amount.

You can shrug it off cause as you said before that you play for fun.
I'm seriously trying to win cause every game counts specially since the games I start are so few.

I am. You should see my alt in the top 200 next week, but that's another matter. I can never really not have fun. If it stops getting exciting and I have to make it exciting, I will, at the cost of my rank. With that being said, I am seriously trying to get my alt into ST. My "main" is now a friendly only account. After all, it is a game
I think it's when ST forget it's really just a game and not something that is the end of the world when you make a bad move, and then realize, why am I getting all worked up over this game? Is when they burn out really fast.

Why the alt account? Why not your main one.
I used to use that excuse of just having fun cause I was afraid that I couldnt make it even if I will try. If its the same situation with you I wouldnt know, maybe its just me.
Getting worked up is seeing it as a challenge. Just like buying any game.
If you encounter a hard part do you just stop playing cause you get worked up a bit?
