Also I think that it should be east vs west side of worlds. USA vs world just sounds weird Confused

The Ryder Cup is USA vs The World...

I think this would be awesome. However, I feel like USA will get the lion's share of participation, so this probably wouldn't be fair.

Hah! Let's keep it to just 1 game to start...this will be more time-consuming than you think. Wink

You could use OMC to help facilitate turn planning.

Ok guys I did some analysis of the Winter World Cup signups, this being the only sample of Outwitters demographic data we have available to us (so, take this with appropriate grains of salt). Here are my findings:

232 total signups:
55.6% USA
44.4% Non-USA

41 top 200 signups:
41.5% USA
58.5% Non-USA

73 top 200 + Master signups:
45.2% USA
54.8% Non-USA

Percent of signups by continent:
Asia: 18 (7.8%)
Australia: 12 (5.2%)
Europe: 52 (22.4%)
North America: 144 (62.1%)
South America: 6 (2.6%)

Count of Top 200 by continent:
Asia: 8
Australia: 0
Europe: 14
North America: 19
South America: 0

Count of top 200 + Master by continent:
Asia: 10
Australia: 3
Europe: 23
North America: 37
South America: 0

This is a great idea.
So, we could potentially do:

East USA
West USA
Europe
Asia

As 4 teams. However, I am inclined to keep this to 2 since it is our first foray into this kind of activity.

what about limiting the #of participant each team to max 9 (for example), that way not one team will have more than x amount of brains Tongue

RE: Community Team Match - aaronINdayton - 03-29-2013 03:17 AM

Oh right, I'm interested.

How about poweewee vs. everyone else? Tongue

I think I'll sit this one out though. Mostly I'd just defer to stronger players anyway.

FYI, when I did this for Hero Academy players of all skill levels made important contributions to strategy...the more minds the better, so all possible angles can be explored. However, it's probably true that the strongest players would take the lead.
Perhaps rather than USA vs Non-USA (since that is a very American-centric perspective), we should call this East vs West, where East includes North America and South America, and West includes Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.
