I'm a native german speaker and I can sympathize with you. Learning all the exceptions and complicated sentence structures must be excruciating - not to mention the pronunciation of those funny letters 'ä', 'ö', 'ü'.

"Deutsches Sprache, schweres Sprache." - and yes, that sentence is deliberately wrong to illustrate the point.

Can you help me with this - what does
'Die Schule ist um ein Uhr aus' mean? On google translate it says, 'the school is a clock at. Help! We got a retest next week and I don't want to get anything less than 7/10 Sad

I happen to be Dutch. Starting from Dutch, German is relatively easy (not saying that it isn't freaking hateful).
