RE: Tips for New Players - [PETA] Doodat - 11-03-2013 01:24 AM Some general tips: Communicate with your partner Say your turn order is red-green-yellow-blue. If you are red, your objective is to kill as many green units as possible. Your partner's job as yellow is to kill as many blue units as possible. Of course, this isn't the best thing to do. The best thing to do is for you to prevent green from inflicting the most damage possible, which might not be killing all of green's units. Hard to explain. Coordinate your attacks. Make sure your partner knows when and where you are attacking RE: Tips for New Players - HuskyPete - 11-03-2013 01:45 AM Thanks Doodat. Teams are hard. I think experience and losing teaches you a lot. Those points you make seem simple but it makes so much sense once you start having success! Lets say the turn order is blue-red-green-yellow so if you are red and your base is at one hp and there is a blue and green runner in range, which do you kill? The green one of course, if you leave that for your partner, you will lose because green goes before yellow, which means he can attack the base before yellow kills the runner. If you are red, your objective is to kill as many yellow units as possible. I don't necessarily aim for killing all the units. But I want to make sure to aid what my partner is doing. If I am green and my partner is blue, and yellow has a potential to get in the way of my partner, I need to make sure that yellow doesn't mess things up so that blue can deal with whatever red is doing. Specifically, this wouldn't help anything. Maybe instead, be more aware of your partners intentions and making sure your move will help not hinder your partner. 2v2 is definitely a lead/helper partnership. That isn't to say both players can't attack at the same time, but someone has to help first, so the second attack is the distraction to split the interests of the other team.
