Wait, if all competitors in a division have to play this certain group, would this group dropping out affect anything?

It would be a random selection.. I'm not saying they have to play a team that is known to be better than them, just a team.

A 'bye' round would be okay, I suppose. But I'd rather just have them removed, figure out what to do with the first round matches, and then have only actives in the tournament from here on out.

If I have to make changes I will be careful to make it fair to all. I have round three ready but I will wait to finalize round one. I will remove anyone who is inactive even if it means a whole team.

For those that read the thread here is a heads up on round three. Round three is a 2v2 round. So captains think about who you will pair up.
