Countdown to Android: 10 Days

by

Boss Gauntlet

Tilt to Live 2’s Android release is just around the corner, and we’re zeroing in on our favorite new gametype idea.

When Tilt to Live 2 was still in development, we considered doing a “Boss Gauntlet” mode for the first big update. You’d go through all of the Classic and Code Red bosses back-to-back, seeing how far you could make it with a single life. We were even going to create a new, bigger boss fight with the Dot King if you fought all the way to the end. The sketch above was one of my favorite background concepts.

Ultimately, we scrapped that idea in favor of creating a fresh experience, since you guys have been battling these bosses since November. We’ve started prototyping a different idea, and it’s showing a lot of promise so far.

This is AWESOME! I’ve been dreaming up a boss gauntlet just as much as you are! Except I thought they would be separate between Classic and Code Red.

  3. Chemoeum says:

Oh, you scrapped it. The sketch is awesome though.

It always annoyend me that you can only fight one boss per game and now you bring boss gauntlet, YEEEEES.
Also can wait for Android version 🙂

  6. CombatEX says:

As it seems others have expressed, Gauntlet would be a nice game mode. However, it’s also a derivative one and it’s nice to see you’re willing to try something new. I’m excited to see what you guys come up with!

  7. Adam says:

@Connor: Doesn’t look like our game engine supports it at the moment, but maybe down the line they’ll add support for it.

  8. Chang says:

I’m dreaming up a duel mode, where two arrows get weapons randomly and fight against each other.
Oh I can’t wait for your originative ideas.

  11. Bbobb555 says:

The next weekly blog post is due today.

  12. Chemoeum says:

There’s only two days left, so maybe another blog post isn’t very necessary for the new Android game.

    Guys,

It’s already there! Search for “tilt to live onemanleft” and you’ll find it!

Unfortunately it repeatedly crashes on my Stock Galaxy Nexus during the tutorial. Enjoying three seconds of gamplay though! 🙂

I hope One Man Left is able to iron out the bugs soon! Given they are new to Android, I think a little patience from our side is appropriate. I for one am not trying to get a refund. Yet. 😉

Yeah, it’s true : “tilt to live onemanleft”
No crash for me but the game it’s not as smooth as i knew it.

there isn’t anything in google play, where can we download it then?

  22. Anonymous says:

    It’s not free, that sucks.

  23. nta says:

Search tilt to live onemanleft works!!!
    Although… it isn’t free! :/

  24. Harry says:

Why should it be free? It’s a great game, and this should be worth a few bucks. Even One Man Left needs to eat from time to time…

This is probably a gazillion times better than Ads or #+%§% In-App-Purchases!!
