Out of curiosity and a love for exploration games, I picked up Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery (iOS) recently. Haven’t got a clue whether I recommend this game. On the one hand, it’s beautiful and creative and has great music. On the other, there have been a few instances where I sat pawing at the screen like a lonely kitten, hoping to god something would start glowing or tell me what to do. Or worse, something would glow, taunting me that I had the right idea but was tapping when I should be rubbing. Or drawing figure eights or spinning the iPad on my fingertip like a basketball. Needless to say, I’m stuck in such a place and bitter.
On the console front (my favorite front), I just finished Beyond Good & Evil HD (XBLA). The game is extremely easy, which makes it like the perfect snack food after Dead Space 2. It plays like Metal Gear meets that Star Fox game that Rare made. The one with the little triceratops. Stop me if I’ve lost you. Anyway, it had a really unique story, likable characters, and kickass latin music. I really hope the sequel makes it to store shelves.

Being the multiplayer and co-op feind that I am, I recently got my grubby hands on Super Stickman Golf. As usual, I’m late to the party. Admittedly, I picked up the game solely because I heard of the multiplayer for it and wanted to try it out, single player be damned! It’s always great to find a game with solid single player gameplay that keeps me coming back, and has a really fun multiplayer to jump into when I have a few buddies waiting around with me. Not to mention the catchy soundtrack was made by the talented Whitaker Blackall, who also did the Tilt to Live soundtrack.
On the PC front, it’s still Starcraft 2 for me. Although Portal 2 has complicated things. Thankfully, I finished the Portal 2 co-op last night with a friend so it won’t eat into my SC2 ladder climbing for that much longer…heh.

Alex, I think you should try Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus. If you don’t like war games, I wouldn’t recommend this game. Otherwise, it’s probably the best multiplayer game I’ve ever played. The one player mode isn’t as good on it though. By the way, it has some blood. Hope you like it!
Also, why is there a smiley face in the bottom left hand corner?
@Texas holden, Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Probably there just for the sake of it.
I am not sure if either of you like puzzle games but if you do “trainyards” is a great game (AMAZING!).
I you have not played “world of goo” it has nice art style and soundtrack. I bought it for wii a couple years ago and had to replay it when it came out on iPod.
If you hadn’t created “tilt to live” I would recomend it to you. By the way I think you should make a mode in “tilt to live” that is “pac-man” style (for example: you can could go through a small hole on the right side and then appear through a small hole on the left side of the screen).

Galaxy on Fire 2 is epic and has great graphics, Minigore is a nice dual stick shooter and Fruit Ninja is a brilliant game. Also, there’s Battleheart which is a strategy game and Jet Car Stunts.
I have also played World of Goo, and I think that it’s pretty awesome. New game seems good.

Thanks all for the game suggestions, I’ve now got a shopping list hah! I’ve only played Trainyard briefly and it was a while ago, I definitely liked what I saw so I might come back to that one again.
I’ve played a few FPSs on the iphone and haven’t been to fond of the genre on mobile because I’m spoiled by mouse and keyboard, so I tend to feel any other scheme is a weak imitation.

Anyway, i’ve always been fond of Real Racing 2 and Trainyard, but Tiny Wings is pretty addicting.
Death Rally seems good and I want it, but it requires Open Gl ES 2.0.:(
I spent like 4 hours ignoring people I had invited over to hang out because of Trainyard. Did the whole main campaign in like 2 days. That game is dangerous.
What kind of a game is the Modern Combat game? Just curios. If that’s how you spell it.
