9 out of 10 robots like Tilt to Live

by

I was just notified by a friend of a rather cool video that I just had to share. Someone built a tilt motion controller for the iPhone and plans on mounting it to a camera to allow a robot to play accelerometer based games. This has been done before with  Guitar Hero, but the cool thing is that they were using Tilt to Live to test the controller! Check out the video below and the short article here.

This looks to be shaping up to be a really cool project. You can read more about it on Shane Wighton’s blog along with some other neat stuff.

Just some major glitches I’ve found today that I thought I’d let you know about. These concern the HD version, but they are quite major and definetlely affect gameplay. First is the fable White dots. I did find them on the iPod version but they show up a lot on the hd version especially when you use the spike shield and the burnicade. I also found that it affected my score, which was at a 700 Combo but all of a sudden shot up to a x6000 which doesn’t seem right. As well, it happened to me just now and the game started to get giddy and my combo shot up to 21000, giving me a highscore of -1,500,000,000. Why is it a minus?

@Lloyd I’ve found the problem with the HD version. While fixing a bug with the vortexes it introduced another one involving the ‘ghost’ enemies and odd combo numbers. We’re working to get it fixed and submitted to the app store as soon as possible.

Cool, Thanks and glad for the rapid response, also is it possible to add a button to disable the turret in classic and code red because I’m afraid it will ruin the hGameplay in the hd version when it comes out.

Um… on the iPod version, I randomly lost all my highscores, was logged out of AGON, yet my achievements stayed. I logged back in and it fixed itself, but what the heck happened? You have some serious bug fixing to do.

That looks awesome. Lol when the iphone moved everywhere in the beginning of the video I was scared for a moment it was going to fly of!

Not enthusiastic about the possibility of this technology being used to swarm cheater bots all over TTL’s high scores.
